Company History & Establishment

Eagum Exporters Limited was established in 2009 in Nairobi, Kenya. Founded by specialists in botanical resins and trade logistics, the company grew from a small trader connecting harvesters to local buyers into a full-service exporter with international certifications and a global client base.

Our name reflects our focus: 'Eagum' — East African Gums — highlighting our roots and dedication to the region's natural products. Over the years we've formalised processing, quality systems, and direct purchasing agreements with harvesting cooperatives to guarantee traceability and consistent supply.

How We Work & Our Process

  1. Sourcing: Direct procurement from vetted harvesters and cooperatives in Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia and Tanzania.
  2. Initial Grading: Field sorting to remove contaminants and pre-grade resin types at collection points.
  3. Processing & Drying: Controlled drying and cleaning to ensure stable moisture and purity.
  4. Laboratory Testing: COAs and lab analysis for pesticide residues, moisture, and purity when required.
  5. Packing & Documentation: Customer-specific packing, clear batch labeling, and full export paperwork including phytosanitary and COA where applicable.
  6. Logistics & Shipping: Coordinated sea/air freight with trusted partners, including insurance and customs support.
